There can be no greater joy than to watch a child open a present. As their eyes light up and their smile stretches a mile long, an altogether priceless moment is created. With over 13 million children living in poverty here in the US, there are many children who miss out on the opportunity to hold a brand new toy. The Appalachia Christmas Project was created with these children in mind. Our sole focus is to provide toys for these children, who may otherwise have been overlooked this holiday season.

We focus on the part of the country known as Appalachia, a region that stretches from the northeast corner of Mississippi through the southwest corner of New York. Within the hardest hit areas of these 13 states, more than 50% of children live in poverty. We work together with schools, churches, healthcare providers and families to identify children in need and through your generosity, provide them with toys.
